Raise your hand if you have curly hair and still can't find a way to tame your hair? Yeah ladies, me too. I feel ya ;)

Curly hairs are blessings in disguise. It is sexy, can be cute, but just like everything in life - all good things come with a catch. The catch is that it has life of its own. Well, you will not understand this unless you are a curlies (that's how I address fellow people with curly hair, btw), but to style curly hair means more than just brushing and styling. Make one mistake, and you'll end up with a bird nest on your head. I have super duper extraordinaire big massive hair. My hair Is huge. It is thick, stiff, dry, fluffy, fuzzy, you name it. With this kind of hair, my hair style choices are limited; tight bun, or pony tail. Occasionally, I let my hair down only if my hair is long enough, and I use like half tube of wet-look gel. 

I've been looking for a good product to style my hair. I tried from cheap standard drugstore hair products (mostly don't work), to some fancy brands (oh I will write reviews about it, just wait). One lazy Wednesday afternoon I saw an advertisement from Controlled Chaos and I'm intrigued by it. Well, I bought and tried it. Now let's see if it's as good as the add says.  

What did I buy exactly? I bought Controlled Chaos Curl Creme (24.95 euro ) and a small mist sprayer (8.50 euro). It is a bit pricey compare to standard drugstore hair products, but one tube lasts for 3 months for me (shoulder length hair, and I use about 2 blobs as big as 1 euro coin) so it falls into "acceptable" category in pricing. Yes, I know that they also have shampoo and conditioner (or cleanser and moisturizer as stated on their website), but I did not buy them simply because they are so expensive (29.95 euro per 237 ml. So it'll be around 60 euro for shampoo and conditioner plus another 25 euro for curl cream. Crazy? I think so). They charge 5.75 euro for shipping cost in the Netherlands and they give free shipping with minimum order of 50 euro.

The package arrived 3 working days after I placed the order. It came in a nice box lined with black paper, very pretty. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic (beginner mistake lol...). The website said that I have to apply the cream on wet hair. So I sprayed my hair with the mist sprayer I bought also from them. The sprayer was a disappointment. It took long time and a lot of spraying to make my hair wet. So I gave up (nobody has time for 15 minutes spraying time!) and went under the shower instead. Don't buy the sprayer! Just use a plant sprayer or shower, it works better. I absorbed the excess water on my hair using hydrofil fabric, brush my hair, and apply the cream.

The cream has a consistency like hair conditioner, and it smells wonderful. It is easily spread with hands as long as your hair is wet. It gives fatty layer on your hands though, so don't forget to wipe them off before you touch your clothes .I tried using it on dry hair, it didn't work, so save your time (and cream) by always applying it on wet hair. After I applied the cream, I scrunched my hair and let it dry naturally (the website called for diffuser hair dryer, but I don't have it).

The result? Amazing. My curly hair has more definition, it definitely not fluffy nor fizzy. I dare to cut my hair shorter because I don't have to always keep them in bun or pony tail. One slight minus point is that if I am not careful, I'd use more than necessary and my hair will become stiff (like if I'm using strong hold hair gel). When used correctly, it gives my hair some movement so it looks more natural than gel. After all products I've tried, I'd considered this a big success. I am totally happy! Given the nice wrapping, the wonderful smells, amazing result, even though the price is a bit high I'm giving this curl cream 4 out of 5 score.

Conclusion

Controlled Chaos Curl Creme works like a charm. It is pricey, but one tube can lasts 3 months for me. The cream has consistency like hair conditioner and it smells wonderful. This creme worth every penny I spent on it, the mist sprayer unfortunately is the complete opposite.
